Growing Spiritually

Acts 16:16-40

To grow into a helthy plants,seeds need good soil,water,sunlight,and food. The Christian life is like the life of a plant. The seeds of God’s Word is planted in our hearts,and we realize we need Jesus. We accept Him as our Savior. A plants needs water, sunshine, food, and good soil to grow. A Christian needs the Bible, time soil to grow. A Christian needs the Bible, time with God in prayer, church, fellowship with other Christians and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps believers become more like Jesus in the way they think, what they believe and what they do. These actions and attitudes are called the fruit of the spirit.

Love – the Holy Spirit causes us to love God and other people. Love for God becomes the reason for everything we do.

Joy—when we love God, the Holy Spirit helps us have joy in our hearts even when things go wrong. We will have trouble, but God is with us.

Peace—Life brings problems,but the Holy Spirit have peace harmony, wholeness, and well-being—because of a right relationship with God.

Paul and Silas are good eaxmples of the first three fruit of the Spirit. Once they were beaten and thrown into prison for preaching. They could have felt hatred toward those who had wronged them, but they didn’t. as believers walk in the Spirit throught leraning from Scripture about God and what Hw wabts, spending regular time with Him, and relating to others as Jesus does, the love, joy, and peace of God becomes more and more a part of their characters.

Te fruit of the spirits is love,joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-25)

JUST AS PLANTS ARE CREATED TO GROW,PEOPLE WHO LOVE JESUS ARE MEANT TO GROW

Prayer : God, I pray that Holy Spirit will help to grow Your fruit in my life I want to spend my regular time to You so I will be more and more a part of Your character
